How much does it cost to use your app? (Fees)
The Charge apps are free to download from Google Play or the Apple App Store and there are no setup fees, monthly fees, minimum turnover requirements or subscription fees.
When a transaction is processed using Charge for Stripe, a 1% fee will be applied per transaction, in addition to the standard Stripe fees, which vary from country to country and can be found at https://stripe.com/pricing. If you never process any payments via the app and only use it for tracking your Stripe account transactions, that’s completely free.
As there are no setup or ongoing fees with Stripe or with our app, Charge, you only pay fees when you actually make sales, which we think is the way it should be. We hope you’ll find Charge is a convenient, cost-effective way of processing payments on the go, especially when compared to other offerings, many of which charge a larger % of the sale amount or have on-going subscription fees, without having anywhere near the level of functionality available in our apps, like Payment Requests, Terminal Mode, Pre-Auth Payments and Subscription Payments, among many more.
Here’s an example: the fees in Australia are currently 1.75% + $0.30 for domestic cards. So for a $100 transaction, this is what the fees would look like:
Sale amount: $100
Stripe fees: $1.75 + $0.30 = $2.05
Charge app fees: $1
Total fees: $3.05
You receive: $96.95
