Why can't I process a payment?

Usually when payments are unable to be processed it is due to one of the following reasons:

The 'Reference' field has been left empty. This field is mandatory so please enter something into this field and the 'Charge Card' button should become active and allow you to process the payment.

You have no active internet connection. Payments processed using Charge for Stripe are processed in real time which requires an active internet connection so the card being used to processed the payment can be charged immediately, and if the payment is declined (e.g. due to insufficient funds), you will be notified immediately and can see if your customer has another card they can and use for the payment.
