I tried to process a payment and it failed - why?

If you have attempted to process a payment and it fails to go through, you should see a message with details about why the payment failed. e.g. Insufficient funds or incorrect CVC number.

If you would like to go back to find out why a payment failed, you will need to login to your Stripe Dashboard (on a computer, not in Charge for Stripe) and go to the 'Payments' section to locate the payment in question, select it and you will then be able to see the reason the payment was rejected.

Payment rejections are out of our control and are usually related to the user's card having insufficient funds, entering a number incorrectly or the user's bank rejecting the payment for some other reason. If you would like further information about why a payment was rejected, please contact Stripe Support.
