I need to add/update my Display Name - how do I do that?

The 'Display name' is the name that is displayed on the screen when using Tap to Pay to process a payment. If you haven't already added a Display name in your Stripe account, you will be prompted to add one before you're able to process a payment using Tap to Pay. This is not something that can be done within our app, but it's pretty straightforward to do if you follow the steps below:


  1. Go to https://dashboard.stripe.com/ and login to your Stripe account.
  2. Click on the Settings icon (the 'cog') in the top right corner and then click on 'Business'.
  3. Ensure the 'Account name' field is populated in the 'Account details' section as well as the various fields in the 'Business details' section.


If you still encounter an issue when attempting to process a payment using Tap to Pay, please contact Stripe directly as we don't have any access to or control over the 'Display name' data on your Stripe account, but Stripe will be able to help you with that.
