# Payment Processing for Booking.com Hosts

After an influx of interest from Booking.com hosts and hearing that Booking.com were recommending Charge for Stripe as a good option for processing payments, we wanted to make it clear just how easy it is for you to process payments when people make a booking for your property.

Firstly, if you already have a Stripe account, you can use Charge for Stripe, no matter where you are in the world. Here are the main payment methods to help you get started:

### Payment Requests (**Recommended Method**) 
Avoid the hassle of dealing with card details and send your customer a simple Payment Request. Include the amount, booking dates and enter your customer's email address and they will receive an email with a link to a secure payment form to enter their credit card details. Simple!

### Standard Payments
Processing a standard payment takes only a few taps to complete, but be aware that you will need to have the card details including the CVC number, so be sure to have it handy. [Read more](/en-au/article/how-do-i-process-a-payment-133xjp3/)


### Pre-Auth Payments
If you're wanting to take a security bond to help cover costs in case something gets broken, Pre-auth payments will come in handy. You can pre-authorise a customer's credit card for a set amount which can either be cancelled, processed in full or processed in part. Be aware that pre-auth payments are only valid for 7 days, after which time they will be automatically cancelled if they haven't been processed or cancelled prior.
