Do you support card readers? How about NFC?

With the release of Stripe Terminal devices (currently only available in the US and limited beta in Australia and New Zealand), we have been working hard to support these devices and are pleased to advise that our Android app now includes support for the Stripe Reader M2 and the BBPOS Chipper 2X BT card reader.

You can learn more on the following links:

Other than these Stripe Terminal devices, we don't plan on adding support for any other card readers at this point in time.

Charge for Stripe also supports Tap to Pay on iPhone and Tap to Pay on Android (both in limited markets for now) as well as NFC, all of which allow for faster payments through capturing of card details without needing to enter them manually or the need for additional hardware.

If your device or the customer’s card doesn’t support NFC, you can simply enter the card details manually or click the camera icon to take a photo of the card to capture the details that way. With all of these methods, none of the card information is ever stored on your device.
